Bridging the Digital Divide

Online school? Virtual doctor visits? Job searches? We all need the internet.

To help the citizens of Harris County access vital online services, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and County Commissioners Rodney Ellis of Precinct 1, Adrian Garcia of Precinct 2, Tom Ramsey of Precinct 3 and Jack Cagle of Precinct 4 launched the Harris County Office of Broadband to provide public internet access. This service is intended to bring free Wi-Fi access to traditionally underserved portions of Harris County and bridge the digital divide.

There are many free Wi-Fi locations in community centers, park, libraries and other public facilities across Harris County…with more to come! To find the closest location, click the “Wi-Fi Locations” tab and search or call 832.927.WiFi (9434).
